Having a clear face is very important. Regardless of age or where you are from, everyone wants to have a clear face. It is what people see when they are speaking to you, and it is part of the first impression you leave upon someone when you first meet. For you to be able to do things as mentioned you must eliminate acne. Not an easy task but it can be done. Consistency is key when dealing with acne breakouts.

Five key tips to eliminate acne:

1. Reduce iodine intake – Research has shown that having more than enough iodine can cause breakouts. Figure out what foods are in your diet that contain high amounts of iodine and cut back.

2. No more spot treating – Apply your product to your whole face instead of dabbing a small portion on the pimples themselves. Spot treatment has its place when you only have one or two pimples.

3. Try not to touch your face – Everyone touches their face sometime throughout the course of the day. The problem is that there are germs, bacteria, dirt and other microorganisms that are picked up by your hands that can cause breakouts.

4. Wash your face twice per day – You should wash your face morning and night with something that is made specifically to get rid of acne. Normally such a product would contain ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide or glycolic acid.

5. Drink plenty of water – Your water intake is very important. You should try to get at least 6 – 8 glasses per day. Drink pure water! Iced teas, mixed drinks, kool-aid and juices do not count! Keeping the body hydrated is very important for all of the bodily functions including your skin cells functions. The better hydrated you are, the better your skin cells can perform their duties and reproduce.
